View my entry here.

Children’s Photography can be quite difficult, You have babies who love to roll and Toddlers who are always on the move, You get some who don’t want to smile and others just cry for their parents. I, Myself have a four year old who just cannot be bothered with me when my camera is in my hand and will just pull faces. It’s a tricky thing to do, So here are my tips, I hope they help you as much as they do for me.

  1. Tip number 1 for me is most definitely capturing your littles in their most natural way, Doing what they love and do best, When they aren’t even aware the camera is on them. Those are the photos that turn out the most
    perfect for me.

  2. Natural Smiles- How to get a natural smile can be tricky if you don’t know the child you’re photographing very well, You need to find out what makes them laugh. With your own littles, It’s so easy and would probably make life easier with a tripod for your camera so you’ve got your hands free to Shake their favourite toy, Make their favourite noise, Tell a joke or do a silly dance (Works a treat with my girls).

  3. Natural Light- I told you Natural was the best way. I much prefer the photos I take in Natural Sunlight then the ones I take with the flash. Natural light give the photo the most amazing touch and makes my job easier because they need less editing. I’m so lucky that my living room and bedroom allows so much lovely natural light, They’re they rooms I use most when doing indoor shoots. Outdoor shoots are by far my most favourite, They children love it, They can run around and be themselves while getting fresh air also.
